In an isolated child cult, Mira has been raised by Mother to believe the world beyond the trees is full of dangers, and that the haunting recordings of Father’s voice hold the only truth. But when a younger sibling vanishes into the forest, Mother blames Mira for the loss, and the fragile web of faith and fear that has long bound her begins to unravel.
Haunted by guilt and driven by suspicion, Mira begins to feel the quiet, insistent pull of a life beyond Mother’s reach. But before she can grasp it, she must find the sibling she lost. As Mother’s grip on the commune tightens, Mira faces an impossible choice: remain tethered to the only life she has ever known, or risk everything to step into the unknown.
Part haunting folk horror, part coming-of-age fable, Tether explores belief, guilt, and the delicate threads that bind us together.
